Cooked Dal  1 Cup  
Green Chillies 6  
Ginger  I Piece  
Asafoetida        1 Pinch  
Lemon 1  
Curry leaves One Sprig  
Coriander leaves One Sprig
Mustard ¼ Teaspoon  
Urud dal ½ Teaspoon  
Jeera ¼ Teaspoon  
Ghee 1 Teaspoon
Salt To taste

 

Chop ginger and slit green chillies. Boil them in water with salt and add mashed cooked dal, 3 cups of water, curry leaves and coriander leaves. Bring to boil. Add asafotida dissolved in water and squeeze in the lime. Remove from fire. Season with mustard, urud dal, red chillies and  curry leaves.
